Land Resilience Project presents at UN-GGIM Academic Network Forum

The United Nations – Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) Academic Network Forum was held on 1 – 3 August as part of the Eighth Session of the Committee of Experts on GGIM at UN Headquarters, New York.

The theme of the event was The SDGs Connectivity Dilemma: Urban Settlements, Resilience, and Sustainability and brought together over 100 delegates and geospatial experts and academics from over 50 Member States, academic institutions, and the private sector.

During the event, Alvaro Federico Barra, Land Administration and Geospatial Specialist from the World Bank presented on the topic of Improving Resilience and Resilience Impact of National Land and Geospatial Systems, introducing our current research project, our objectives and aims, the motivating reasons behind our research, our findings to date including details of the case studies conducted, and the relevance of our work in the context of the SDG agenda.

The presentation was well received with excellent feedback and support given, and creation of further opportunity for engagement and requests for involvement in the project.
